The White Mountain Trading Post is a FREE living history museum in south central Colorado, in the town of Fort Garland. We do daily gunfights during the summer as well as many reenactments of traditional arts and crafts such as blacksmithing, spinning, silver working, flint knapping, soap making and a host of others. We are all volunteers and we are constantly looking for more people of all ages and interests to help us preserve history.

July 23
It looks like it is going to be another beautiful day here in the San Luis Valley yesterday it was in the dry 90′s with some evening showers, I expect similar today. We will be giving tours all day as well as horse rides. In between all of this I have about twenty saddles to clean, repair, and oil; so I better get to it.
